Our HOME+PLUS down payment assistance program is a second unpaid loan that can be forgiven after three years, unless you sell the home or refinance the first mortgage before that term ends.
This loan does not require a separate application; when you work with an approved mortgage lender and apply for the first compatible mortgage, you will automatically be considered for help. The MCIDA's Home in Five Advantage program is designed to help low- to moderate-income families afford housing in Maricopa County. This program provides a variety of benefits, such as reduced interest rates, lower down payments, and assistance with closing costs. In addition, the MCIDA has a mobile outreach team that tours sections of Maricopa County several times a month to find veterans and help them meet their immediate needs for water and food.
